Auto Power Frunk for Tesla Model 3/Y/Highland 3

The box came pretty fast. It had all the pieces, but no instructions at all. The instructions on the listing is for Model Y only, not Model 3. After following a few YouTube videos I got it installed.

But it almost looks like they sent the wrong struts for my car. The struts basically finish before the hood is closed, and frunk doesn't want to close down on at all. All the videos I watched, at this point in installation they press the button and the frunk closes perfectly. Mine comes down halfway, beeps, and stops. (See video)

I emailed support but didn't hear back either. I am very disappointed.

The fact that it didn't come with instructions caused so much confusion. The website only has Model Y instructions and it does not fully match with Model 3. After HOURS of Youtube videos, and no response from tvibex support, I managed to get it to work properly. It had to do with the position of the new mounting points, which there is no mention of in the Model Y instruction PDF. The product is fine, just make sure you watch as many videos as possible, and don't rely on the support from the company.

Easy to install - works great!

Had an mechanic install it for me and he said that he still struggled with the locking, we tried many times together and i finally some days later managed to fix the problem by forcing the hood down at a very specific time. Other that that, awesome product, hope it holdt for many years!

It’s really a feature the model Y should come with. This is great.

I saw a comment on one of the Reddit Tesla sub channels discussing this TVIBEX Frunk opener / closer and immediately placed an order. The kit was very well packed and arrived quickly. I was impressed by the engineering and quality of the components. I have no doubt that that the unit works as advertised.

There were no instructions - just the YouTube video, which guided me through installation. The YouTube video was very well done, and answered all of my questions. In past years, some of my important "Saved" YouTube videos disappeared from my play lists. I'm guessing that there was a copyright strike and YouTube took them down. I emailed TVIBEX twice, asking that written instructions be emailed to me but never had a response. This makes me uneasy, because I am planning on ordering more TVIBEX product for both my Model Y and Model 3. I have supported Tesla for six years, and have found that, besides Tesla's best intentions, at times I was on my own, with serious car issues and service appointments months in advance. In case I had to remove the FRUNK opener for Tesla service, and then reinstall, having TVIBEX instructions saved to our iCloud, would bring peace of mind.
